Directed by Rishab Shetty, Kantara: Chapter 1 has been riding a wave of success within days of its release, receiving positive responses from audiences. However, the Tulukoota community has expressed apprehension about the increasing instances of Daiva imitation.
When the original Kantara was released in 2022, imitations of Daiva were commonly seen in orchestras, private events, and TV shows. Now, following the release of Kantara: Chapter 1, such incidents are recurring, with several reports emerging.
Tulukoota has voiced strong dissatisfaction over these developments and has written a letter to director Rishab Shetty, outlining their demands. The letter mentions, “Rishab Shetty, you have repeatedly stated that you have immense faith in Daiva.”
While clarifying that they have no objections to the film itself, Tulukoota stated in the letter, “Raise awareness among your fans about respecting Daiva. After the release of Kantara, Daiva imitation has increased. Recently, a video of a person dressed as Daiva entering a theater went viral.”
Some audience members have behaved as if possessed by Daiva while watching the film, and videos of others shouting outside theaters have circulated widely on social media. “We are frustrated seeing such videos every day,” Tulukoota expressed in dismay.Casio Enticer Men MTP-SN2KL-1A Analog Black Dial Men (A2454)
“Why have you remained silent on this matter? We had previously requested a disclaimer to be shown before the film’s screening, but we do not understand the reason behind your negligence,” the letter further states.
“Daiva worship is our belief. Hold a press conference immediately to raise awareness about this issue and include a disclaimer before the film’s screening,” Tulukoota has demanded.Crisis Hits 'Bigg Boss Kannada 12': State Pollution Control Board Orders Studio Closure Over Sewage Violation.!

Earlier, another video from a theater screening Kantara showed a person exhibiting strange behavior outside, shouting, “If you don’t watch the film, Daiva will curse you; I saw Daiva in Rishab Shetty,” which also went viral.
