Bengaluru, October 7, 2025: As Kantara Chapter 1 continues to achieve roaring success across India, the film’s team has issued a stern warning to audiences over inappropriate behavior during screenings. The issue escalated after an incident in a theater where one individual dressed as a deity and another attempted a ritual invocation, offending community leaders. Appeal via Social Media: In response to the rising incidents, Hombale Films, the production house behind Kantara, issued an official statement on social media titled, “Audiences, Please Stop Performing Avahana.” The statement clarifies: “Daiva worship is a sacred symbol of Tulunadu’s faith and identity. In Kantara, we portrayed a devotional story to honor the reverence and sanctity of Daiva worship. We urge audiences to respect this tradition and refrain from mimicking such rituals.”
Strict Warning of Action;
Organizations like the Bengaluru Tulu Koota have also requested the film team to counsel fans. Following these developments, Hombale Films issued a final warning: “Henceforth, anyone found imitating Daiva rituals in theaters, public places, or events will face appropriate action.” The statement aims to curb such behavior, which the team deems disrespectful to Tulunadu’s cultural and spiritual heritage.
