The ongoing socio-economic and educational survey (caste census) in Karnataka, conducted by the Karnataka Backward Classes Commission, has led to a severe shortage of school teachers, significantly disrupting children's education. The survey, which began on September 22 and was initially scheduled to conclude on October 7, has been extended to October 18 due to delays. Approximately 1.75 lakh teachers have been deployed for this task, resulting in a reduced number of teachers in schools, adversely affecting the learning process.
