Actress Deepika Padukone has been in the news lately regarding her professional decisions. She has stepped back from several films and has now broken her silence about it. She clarified that her decisions to withdraw from these projects were driven by both personal and professional reasons.

Deepika had initially agreed to work on a film by Sandeep Reddy Vanga but later opted out. She also exited from Kalki 2898 AD and its sequel. It is said that Deepika had set certain conditions for acting in Kalki 2898 AD. These included working only eight hours a day and a share in the film’s profits. Reports also suggest that she made these decisions to spend more time with her daughter.

Speaking about her struggles, Deepika said, “I have fought this battle at various stages. This is not new to me. Elaborating on the nature of her struggles, she added, “I don’t know what to call it. But I have always fought my battles silently. Sometimes they become public. That’s not the way I know or the way I was raised. But yes, fighting my battles silently and respectfully is the way I know.”

Deepika Padukone gave birth to a baby girl in September, and the child has been named Dua. She was last seen in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again, alongside Ajay Devgn and Kareena Kapoor.

Currently, Deepika is involved in the film King, starring Shah Rukh Khan. Directed by Sujoy Ghosh, the film is being produced by Red Chillies Entertainment. More details about this film are awaited.
