Rayachur: The car of Karemma G. Nayak, MLA of Devadurga Assembly Constituency, met with an accident near Gurugunta in Lingasugur Taluk. The incident occurred while the MLA was traveling from Devadurga to Rayachur. The accident took place on National Highway 150 near Gurugunta village when the MLA’s car attempted to overtake another vehicle. Due to another vehicle ahead, the driver applied sudden brakes, causing the car to lose control and crash. The front of the car was completely damaged, and the MLA suffered a head injury. Local residents quickly came to the rescue and rushed the MLA to Lingasugur Government Hospital. Doctors are providing treatment, and her condition is reported to be stable.The Lingasugur Police Inspector and local Tahsildar visited the accident site and initiated an investigation. According to the police, excessive speed by the driver was the primary cause of the accident.
