Kolar: A 50-year-old school teacher, Akhtar Begum, from K.B. Hosahalli School in Kolar taluk, has gone missing after heading out for survey work, causing deep distress to her family. It is suspected that she was suffering from mental depression due to the work pressure, as she left her mobile phone and personal belongings at home. A complaint has been filed with the police, and a search and investigation are currently underway.
Akhtar Begum, who resides on Antaragange Road in the district, had gone for survey work in the Narasapura area but is now unreachable. The incident adds to the list of unusual occurrences reported in connection with the ongoing caste survey.
According to her family, the teacher went out in the evening and has been missing since the following morning. Her sudden and unannounced departure, coupled with her complete lack of contact, has alarmed the family. The missing teacher left her mobile phone and even removed and left behind the jewellery she was wearing. However, it is reported that she took her survey ID with her. Family members revealed that she had been under significant stress regarding the survey work.
Despite the family's extensive search efforts, her whereabouts remain unknown. A complaint has been filed at the Kolar City Police Station, and the police have confirmed that they are investigating the matter.
