In Karnataka's political landscape, the internal conflicts within the Congress party have recently escalated. Meetings convened by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah with legislators have sparked new disputes due to the absence of Deputy Chief Minister and State Congress President D.K. Shivakumar.

In this context, the reaction from Bengaluru South elected MLA Belur Gopalakrishna has drawn significant attention. Dismissing allegations against DCM Shivakumar, Gopalakrishna clarified that both leaders are working diligently for the party. In recent days, Siddaramaiah's district-wise meetings with legislators were aimed at resolving internal dissatisfactions within the party. These sessions were organized to discuss stalled development projects in the state, the non-release of Rs 50 crore grants to legislators, and other issues.

However, the exclusion of DK Shivakumar from these meetings has become a topic of discussion in political circles. Some legislators, who are Shivakumar supporters, view this as an insult. This has led to friction between the two factions within the party. Also Read: Bengaluru's Garbage Clearance and Road Repairs: Biocon Chief Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw Reacts to BBMP Negligence..!!

Gopalakrishna suggested leaving the decision on this matter to the high command leaders. Legislators like Belur Gopalakrishna should step forward to preserve party unity, and the high command will decide, he added. Also Read: India to Be the World's Fastest-Growing Economy in 2025: IMF Report

This has fueled discussions on leadership changes within the Congress party.
