Kolar: A school teacher from Kolar who went missing after heading out for a survey has been found dead two days later in the Ippalli lake in KGF taluk. The incident has reportedly shocked her family and the local community.
The deceased has been identified as Akthar Begum (53), a resident of Mahalaxmi Layout in Kolar and a teacher at K.B. Hosahalli School. She had reportedly gone missing after completing her survey work in Narsapura. Among the items recovered on the lake bank were bus tickets, indicating she traveled from Kolar to Bethamangala and then to Chigarapura Gate on Monday. Her survey ID and related documents were also found during the examination of her belongings.
Although there are suspicions that she may have taken an extreme step due to work-related pressure or depression, as she left her mobile phone behind, the exact cause of her death remains unclear. Police have registered a case and are continuing their investigation into the mysterious circumstances surrounding her death.
