Shivamogga: In a grand ceremony organized by the Shivamogga City JDS unit, victory in the recent Shivamogga District Cooperative Union elections was celebrated for Narasimha Gandhadamane, Suresh Nadig, President of Shivamogga Taluk Brahmana Mahasabha, and Kantaraj, Director of the Marketing Federation. Held under the chairmanship of City JDS President Deepak Singh at the party office, the event saw the presence of district and city leaders.

The program was attended by former MLA and State JDS Vice President K.B. Prasanna Kumar, District JDS President Kadidalu Gopal, and prominent leaders including Thyagaraj, Sangayya, Umeshankar Upadhyaya, Manjunath, Wajid Sab, Raghu, Yuva JDS City President Sanjay Kashyap and others. Addressing the gathering, K.B. Prasanna Kumar highlighted the importance of the cooperative sector and extended best wishes to the winners, urging them to fulfill their responsibilities and further strengthen the party's organization.

District President Kadidalu Gopal praised the achievements of the city JDS in enrolling the highest number of members in the district. City President Deepak Singh called upon party workers to intensify membership drives ahead of the upcoming Mahanagara Palike elections, stressing the need for greater effort in registrations due to the short timeframe. He noted that in the past year, 35 prominent JDS leaders from the city have secured victories in various cooperative elections, underscoring the party's serious approach to such polls.

Singh congratulated all workers who toiled for these wins and extended thanks to BJP leaders from the allied party. He affirmed that the city JDS is gearing up earnestly for the forthcoming corporation elections.

Among the honorees, Narasimha Gandhadamane expressed gratitude to MP B.Y. Raghavendra, District BJP President Jagadish, MLA Channabasappa, District JDS President Kadidalu Gopal, former MLA K.B. Prasanna Kumar, and City President Deepak Singh for their support. He shared his experiences from the election and remembered the tireless efforts of city JDS leaders. Suresh Nadig, the new president of the taluk Brahmana Sangha and District JDS Secretary, urged party workers to actively participate in elections of various associations and organizations.

During the event, the city JDS committee appointed additional Vice President Smt. Chandramati Hegde, General Secretary Rajalakshmi, Secretary Aasha, Vice President Suresh, General secretary Raghavendra Udupa, General Secretary Rudresh, and Secretary Venkatesh, with appointment letters distributed by District President Kadidalu Gopal.
