Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced today that the State Government is prepared to conduct the long-pending Taluk and Zilla Panchayat elections, which have been deferred for the last three to four years.
Speaking to reporters in Hassan, the Chief Minister provided an update on the administration's stance on key issues. He clarified that a decision regarding any restriction on RSS activities will be taken only after the relevant report is submitted to the government. CM Siddaramaiah made this statement upon his arrival at the Boovanahalli helipad for the auspicious Hasanamba Darshan.
Panchayat Elections Ready to Go -
CM Siddaramaiah explicitly stated that all preparations for holding the local body elections have been completed. "The matter is currently under the court's consideration. The election process will begin immediately after we receive the green signal from the court," he asserted.

Dismisses Political Interpretation of Dinner Gatherings -
When questioned by reporters about recent "dinner gatherings" occurring amidst the High Command's silence on the power-sharing formula within the state, the Chief Minister dismissed any political speculation.
"Dinner parties have no relation to politics. As MLAs and Ministers, we meet occasionally, discuss party matters, and have meals together. There is no need to find a political meaning in that," the Chief Minister clarified.
