Bengaluru Police have launched a search operation to arrest a man identified as Danesh Naron from Solapur, Maharashtra, who allegedly threatened Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge over a phone call following the latter's statements about the RSS.

The Bengaluru City Police were successful in tracing the identity of the culprit who made the threatening call.

According to police sources, the accused, Danesh Naron, is a native of Solapur, Maharashtra. A police team has been dispatched to Solapur to execute the arrest.

Danesh Naron reportedly called Priyank Kharge, hurling abuses and issuing threats. The Minister recorded the call and subsequently made the audio public on his 'X' account. While Minister Kharge initially did not file a complaint, Congress leader Manohar eventually lodged a formal complaint at the Sadashivanagar Police Station. Based on this complaint, an FIR was registered, and the police investigation led to the identification of the accused.

The threat followed a public statement by Kharge where he had urged Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to consider banning the RSS, citing the organization's completion of 100 years. This statement had sparked widespread public debate.

Following the threat calls received by Priyank Kharge, Home Minister Dr. G. Parameshwara had ordered an investigation. With the accused now identified, the police are moving ahead with measures to secure his arrest.
