Bhojpuri superstar Khesari Lal Yadav is contesting the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections from the Chapra constituency. Originally, his wife Chanda Yadav was slated to receive the RJD ticket, but due to technical reasons, Khesari will file his nomination on the RJD symbol and enter the electoral fray.

Speculation about contesting on an RJD ticket began after his recent meeting with Tejashwi Yadav in Patna. Previously, Khesari had stated in the media that he would not enter elections and continue in the film industry.
