Kadasiddeshwara Swamiji Controversial Statement: High Court Dismisses Petition Against Vijayapura Entry Ban!

The Kalaburagi bench of the Karnataka High Court reportedly took serious note of the Swamiji’s choice of words and observed that such language is inappropriate coming from a public figure.

The Kalaburagi Bench of the Karnataka High Court dismissed a petition filed by a seer, Kaadasiddeshwara Swami, who challenged the District Commissioner’s order banning his entry into the Vijayapura district. The court reportedly expressed strong displeasure over the seer's choice of words, deeming such language "unbecoming of a public figure."

The ban order was issued on Thursday by the Vijayapura District Commissioner, Dr. Anand, following controversial statements the Swami had made in Maharashtra. Subsequently, the Swami petitioned the Karnataka High Court to quash the DC's order. The dismissal of the plea marks a legal setback for the seer.

The District Commissioner's order prohibited the Swami from visiting Vijayapura for two months, citing that his remarks had the potential to cause a breach of law and order and offend religious sentiments. iQOO Z10 5G (Stellar Black, 8GB RAM, 128GB Storage) | India's Biggest Ever 7300 mAh Battery | Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 Processor | Brightest Quad Curved AMOLED Display in The Segment

Justice Sachin Shankar Magadum, heading the single-judge bench of the Kalaburagi High Court, reportedly expressed his disappointment during the hearing. The court observed that the language used by the Swami at a public event was "below the standards expected even of a common man," and certainly not commensurate with his position as a religious leader.

After hearing arguments from the petitioner's counsel, P. Prasannakumar, and the government's Advocate General, K. Sashikiran Shetty, the Court had initially stated it would pronounce an interim order. Following deliberation, the High Court proceeded to dismiss the seer's petition challenging the ban.
