New Delhi: Thanks to the persistent efforts of Union Minister Prahlad Joshi, Karnataka has received another major piece of good news during the Diwali festivities. The Union Railway Ministry has approved the operation of a new superfast special train between Bengaluru and Hubballi. The train will operate on the Bengaluru-Hubballi route, benefiting passengers from seven districts, including Bengaluru Rural, Tumakuru, Hassan, Davanagere, Chikkamagaluru, Haveri, and Dharwad, with stops at Tumakuru, Davanagere, Harihar, and Haveri. Minister Joshi stated that this will ease passenger congestion and boost trade and commercial activities. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw’s swift approval of the project is commendable.
