Amaravati, October 19, 2025: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has announced several significant benefits for state government employees and pensioners ahead of the Diwali festival. Key Announcements and Financial Implications: Dearness Allowance (DA) Release: The pending installment of DA will be released effective from November 1, 2025. This decision will result in an additional monthly expenditure of ₹160 crore for the state treasury.

Police Department Pending Payments: A portion of the pending Earned Leave (EL) payments for police department employees will be cleared immediately. Child Care Leave for Women Employees: Women employees will be entitled to 180 days of Child Care Leave during their service until retirement, with the previous age limit for availing this leave removed.

Health Insurance Scheme Improvement: The CM has assured that the Health Insurance Scheme for employees will be fully streamlined within the next 60 days, aiming to improve the medical reimbursement process.

Promotions for Public Transport Employees: Pending promotions for employees of the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (RTC) will be completed immediately.

Other Benefits: Office buildings of government employee associations have been exempted from property tax.

To enhance the dignity of certain posts, their designations (nomenclature) will be revised and re-designated.
