Sachin Sanghvi, the famous Bollywood music duo Sachin-Jigar and a renowned composer and singer, was arrested on charges of sexual assault and harassment but has reportedly been released on bail.

The arrest follows a serious complaint filed by a 29-year-old woman against the prominent Bollywood music composer. The victim alleged that Sanghvi connected with her via Instagram, offering an opportunity in a music album and proposing marriage. She further accused him of sexual assault at his studio, as per reports.

Police formally registered the complaint against the popular duo member on Friday (October 24). Sanghvi was arrested under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Although he was promptly arrested, Sanghvi was granted bail soon after. The case has sparked a significant debate in the Bollywood music world, and further developments in the investigation, including the emergence of new evidence, are anticipated. He is celebrated for numerous hit songs, including tracks from films like 'Stree,' 'Bhediya,' 'Param Sundari,' 'Thamma,' and 'Stree 2.' Additionally, he served as a judge on the reality show 'Om Shanti Om.' His daughter, Tanishka Sanghvi, gained attention after her song 'Laadki' went viral.
