Mysore: The Karnataka state government's initiative to restrict Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) activities in public places is entirely driven by political motives, stated Dr. Ram Madhav, President of the India Foundation, in a strong condemnation. Speaking at an event organized by Janajagruti Trust and Manthana Mysore on Saturday at the Jagannath Centre for Art and Culture in Vijayanagar 1st Stage, Dr. Madhav discussed the RSS's centenary celebrations, highlighting the organization's nationwide outreach and expansion efforts over the past 100 years.
RSS: A Rubber Ball That Bounces Back Stronger "The Sangh is like a rubber ball. No matter how hard you slam it to the ground, it bounces back with equal force. The more you hit it, the stronger and bigger the Sangh grows," remarked Dr. Ram Madhav. He added that while some individuals openly oppose the RSS, they privately admire and respect its activities. Political leaders often speak out against the Sangh and push for restrictions to demonstrate their authority. However, if activities are halted in one location, they will simply continue elsewhere, he asserted. "The government cannot stop our shakhas (branches) or prevent officials from participating. Courts have delivered over 30 judgments in our favor on this matter. The country is vast, and there are plenty of supporters ready to collaborate," Dr. Madhav clarified.Understanding RSS is Challenging, But Misunderstanding is Easy"Grasping the true essence of the RSS is somewhat difficult, but it's all too easy to misunderstand it," said Dr. Madhav.
He described the Sangh as the world's largest youth organization, one that has faced unprecedented challenges throughout history—no other entity has endured such trials. Accusing certain groups of spreading false narratives through misleading statements to create misconceptions about the RSS, he emphasized its resilience. https://dv7jujfts4bjf.cloudfront.net/Untitled design - 2025-10-24T080142.136.png_2025-10-24T02:32:24.619Z
The program was inaugurated by RSS functionary G. Vasudev Bhat, with journalist Vikram Mutnna presiding over the proceedings. Not the Agenda of the Entire Congress"Regulating the RSS is not the goal of the entire Congress government. It's the work of a few leaders with hidden agendas, using it for their personal advancement," – Dr. Ram Madhav, President, India Foundation.
