Speaking at a press conference after releasing the ‘Vision Statement 2025–26’ at Club Mahindra Hotel on Saturday, she stated that FKCCI serves as a bridge between entrepreneurs and the government. “Recently, when we raised the issue of potholes on roads, the Chief Minister convened a high-level meeting. We are actively bringing such issues to the government’s notice,” she said.“For the first time since assuming the role of president, I have visited the zone comprising Kodagu, Chikmagalur, Udupi, and Dakshina Kannada districts. FKCCI aims to create 10 lakh entrepreneurs in the state. To encourage young entrepreneurs, a program will soon be launched to invite ‘business plans’ from students, with financial incentives for the best proposals. This initiative will attract the youth to the industry sector, Uma Reddy noted. On November 19, the International Women Entrepreneurs’ Day will be celebrated at 11 AM at the Sir MV Auditorium in Bengaluru. Around 90% of the state’s entrepreneurs belong to the micro and small-scale industries sector. A request will be submitted to the government to formulate a separate policy for them, she added.
