Bengaluru: The Karnataka High Court has issued a deadline to the State Government regarding the salary revision for employees of the Sri Kukke Subrahmanya Temple in Dakshina Kannada, as per the recommendations of the Sixth Pay Commission. In March 2024, the Single Bench had ordered that the revised salary be paid to the temple employees retrospectively from April 2018. The Division Bench dismissed the appeal filed by the government challenging the Single Bench's order. Furthermore, the court clarified that the order must be implemented for the employees within eight weeks, failing which the employees are free to file a fresh contempt of court petition.
