Bengaluru: A shocking and inhuman crime has come to light on the outskirts of Bengaluru, where a 7-year-old girl, Siri, was allegedly brutally tortured and murdered by her stepfather, Darshan. The incident occurred in Ramasandra, near Kumbalagodu. Darshan was the second husband of the child's mother, Shilpa. Police have arrested the accused, and during interrogation, he revealed a horrifying motive.

Child Was 'Obstacle' to Couple's Privacy -

During questioning, the accused Darshan's confession left police officers stunned. When Did Siri's Torture Begin? -

Siri's mother, Shilpa, married Darshan after the death of her first husband. Initially, Siri lived with her maternal grandmother (Shilpa’s mother). However, sources indicate that the child's ordeal began after the grandmother passed away. The stepfather reportedly started subjecting the child to daily abuse, torture, and harassment.

Accused Arrested Near Tumakuru -

The police registered a case following the Friday incident. The accused, Darshan, had gone into hiding but was eventually tracked down and arrested near Tumakuru. During the intense interrogation, he confessed to committing the brutal murder. The accused has since been remanded to judicial custody.
