House Caretaker Arrested for Stealing Over ₹50 Lakh Worth of Valuables After 10 Years of Service!

A woman who had been working as a caretaker in a house for ten consecutive years has betrayed the family's trust and committed fraud. In this regard, the JP Nagar police have arrested her.

Bengaluru: In a shocking incident of breach of trust, a female caretaker who had been working for a family for ten years was arrested by J.P. Nagar Police for allegedly stealing gold and silver ornaments worth over ₹50 lakh.

Details of the Incident:

A theft case was registered at the J.P. Nagar police station in the city after a long-serving house help and caretaker, identified as Mangala, stole valuables worth lakhs. Mangala is accused of using the owners' trust to steal the gold and silver items and then attempting to flee.

Betrayal of Trust:

The accused, Mangala, had gained the complete confidence of the family over her ten years of service as a caretaker. Police investigation revealed that after stealing the valuable ornaments, she had been pawning them and using the money for lavish spending ("Moju Masti").

Police Recovery:

Acting swiftly on the complaint, J.P. Nagar Police successfully arrested Mangala. From the arrested woman, the police recovered - 458 grams of gold, 3 kg 868 grams of silver. The total value of the recovered gold and silver is estimated to be ₹51.40 lakh.
