To foster empathy and make them understand how it feels when garbage is dumped in front of someone else's home or on streets, waste was placed directly in front of the offenders' houses. Consequently, garbage was dumped in front of 218 such houses today, leading to the collection of Rs 2,80,000 in fines. The waste was subsequently cleared. Emphasizing the need to maintain Bengaluru's cleanliness and hygiene, Karigowda urged residents to cooperate by segregating wet and dry waste and handing it over to auto tippers when they arrive.
