On the day of the incident, BBMP (Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike) marshals were waiting from 5:00 AM to catch people littering on the roadside. Around 5:30 AM, they followed a couple who came to dump garbage. The truth was revealed when the marshals showed them the video footage they had captured. For violating the rules, the staff imposed a fine and taught the couple a lesson in cleanliness by making them clear the garbage and dump it in front of their own house.
