Bengaluru: An incident occurred in the Bommanahalli zone where Solid Waste Management (SWM) staff (referred to as GBM staff in the Kannada text) reprimanded a woman who refused to dispose of her garbage even though the waste collection vehicle (Kasa Gaadi) arrived at her doorstep.Also Read: Harassment Allegation: Prof. B.C. The SWM staff questioned the woman as to why she was not handing over her waste despite the auto (waste van) coming every day. The woman replied carelessly, "I just dump the garbage on the road." To curb such negligent behaviour, the SWM staff, along with students, visited every street in Bommanahalli to raise awareness among the public about proper waste disposal.
