Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and prominent BJP leader, Yogi Adityanath, participating in an election rally in Siwan ahead of the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025, launched a severe attack against the Congress party.
In his speech, he alleged that the development of Bihar was hampered during the Congress rule. He accused the Congress party of continuing the policies of the British administration, failing to provide a just administration to the people of the state.

Yogi Adityanath's statement suggested that the Congress party indirectly pursued the British policy of 'Divide and Rule' even after independence.

After India gained independence, Congress ruled Bihar for a long time. Adityanath criticized that the Congress's administrative failure was the reason for the lack of significant growth in infrastructure, education, and health sectors during this period.
