Justice Suryakant Appointed as New Chief Justice – To Take Charge on November 24

Law and Justice Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal announced the appointment, stating that President Droupadi Murmu, under the provisions of the Constitution of India, has appointed Justice Suryakant as the Chief Justice of India with effect from November 24, 2025. He also extended his congratulations on the appointment. Justice Suryakant will be the first Chief Justice of India from Haryana.
