Gopichand Hinduja, fondly known as 'GP', died in a London hospital today at the age of 85. He had been unwell for the past few days and succumbed to his illness. He was the second of the four Hinduja brothers and took over as Chairman following the death of his elder brother, Srichand Hinduja, in 2023.
Legacy: GP played a pivotal role in the global expansion of the Hinduja Group, having joined the family business in the 1950s. He was instrumental in transforming the company from its Indo-Middle East trading roots into a worldwide conglomerate. He was counted among the richest businessmen in Britain.
