Casualties and Destruction -

Officials confirmed that the typhoon has resulted in at least two confirmed fatalities - A body was discovered floating in a river. The body of a woman was found beneath the debris of a collapsed house.

The storm struck the island of Luzon with ferocious winds reaching speeds of 185 kilometers per hour (km/h), exacerbating the already severe weather conditions in the region.

Displacement and Precautions -

As a precautionary measure against the worsening conditions, air travel has been suspended across the affected areas.

The country, which is highly vulnerable to tropical cyclones, has a history of devastating weather events. The report noted that a previous storm, Typhoon 'Kalmaegi,' resulted in the deaths of approximately 200 people.
