He refrained from commenting definitively on the cause, suggesting that the Central Government should investigate and provide answers, especially regarding the timing during an election period.

The Chief Minister confirmed that the state government is taking the blast case with utmost seriousness and has declared a state-wide alert. He also extended his condolences via a post on 'X,' praying for eternal peace for the deceased and the speedy recovery of the injured.

Posing Questions to the Centre -

When questioned by reporters about why such bomb blasts tend to occur during election times, the Chief Minister pointed the finger at the central authority:

"The Central Government itself must answer this question." When asked if the incident was a security failure, CM Siddaramaiah replied, "I cannot say if this is a security failure or some other reason. He added, "I do not have complete information on this matter. Let the truth come out through the Central investigation. Let them investigate based on the information they have."

Following the incident in Delhi, the state government has ordered precautionary measures, including boosting security and conducting additional checking at all major and sensitive locations across Karnataka.
