Typically spanning just two days each year, this year's edition has been extended to a grand five-day affair for the very first time.

Traders from neighboring states have already flocked to Basavanagudi, their stalls overflowing with gleaming heaps of peanuts affectionately known as the "Poor Man's Almond" lining the roadside and drawing eager crowds.

Pilgrimage to nearby shrines, including the Dodda Ganapati and Dodda Basavanna Temples, has surged since yesterday, with devotees thronging the sites in anticipation.

The managing committee has implemented strict measures to promote eco-friendly practices, ensuring traders and visitors alike opt for biodegradable alternatives.
