Bengaluru – Customs officials at the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) in Bengaluru have conducted a major operation, seizing a massive haul of narcotics. Reports indicate that illegal shipments worth approximately ₹14 crore, including Hydro Ganja and E-cigarettes, were recovered by the authorities.

The capital city continues to see cases of drug smuggling being registered under the continuous surveillance of city authorities.

Large-Scale Seizure and Arrests -

The Customs officials have been running continuous operations over the past 18 days Hydro Ganja and E-cigarettes, illegally smuggled from abroad, were seized. The narcotics were mainly being trafficked from Bangkok and various other foreign countries. So far, 10 accused have been arrested in connection with this illegal trafficking network. Wildlife Recovery:

In addition to the narcotics, officials also rescued and seized 8 types of rare and exotic animals that were being illegally smuggled.

These successive operations reaffirm that the Kempegowda International Airport remains a major hub for the illegal transit of narcotics and other contraband.
