New Delhi: Opposition parties on Monday staged intense protests in both Houses of Parliament, demanding a discussion on the FIR filed in the Adani bribery and corruption case in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s name has reportedly been mentioned.

Later, hundreds of opposition members, led by top leaders, held a sit-in protest (dharna) in front of Mahatma Gandhi’s statue inside the Parliament premises.
Prominent leaders who participated included Congress’s Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, party president Mallikarjun Kharge, KC Venugopal, Trinamool Congress leader Sudip Bandopadhyay, DMK’s TR Baalu, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, and several Left party leaders.Also Read: Elon Musk Predicts a Future Where People May No Longer Need to Work Due to Advancements in AI!
Dressed in black clothes and holding banners that read “Expose Modi-Adani nexus,” the protesting MPs condemned Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla for not allowing any discussion on the issue.

Speaking to the media, Rahul Gandhi alleged, “People’s money has been looted, and there are documents showing the Prime Minister himself is involved.
