Security Mock Drill at Chinnaswamy Stadium Ahead of IPL: Over a Thousand Police Personnel Participate

Ahead of the 19th edition of the IPL, police inspected security arrangements at Bengaluru’s M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. A comprehensive mock drill involving over a thousand police personnel and NSG (National Security Guard) commandos was conducted to review stadium entry and exit systems, fan management, and traffic control.

Various security units, including the Bengaluru City Police and the NSG, are participating in this exercise. The drill, which began at 10:00 AM, serves as a practical test of the security protocols to be followed during match days.

More than a thousand police personnel have been deployed both inside and outside the stadium to test the security grid. Additionally, traffic police are reviewing plans to manage congestion around the venue. These precautionary measures are being taken to prevent any untoward incidents and to ensure a safe environment for fans during the IPL matches.
