First deals, next diplomacy, the story of Pakistan’s relevance.

Global stage knows Pakistan is not a credible player. Pakistan is not even relevant to any of the countries as they don’t produce anything. The economy which has sustained only because of US, Saudi and China. Recently Pakistan became very relevant in mediating the Iran-US-Israel war. Why?

Pakistan has become a key diplomatic player in Iran war because of their business deals and outreach to the Trump administration. The change did not happen overnight as it was a result of a calculated, multi-layered strategy that blended business deals and their outreach to the inner-circles of Donald Trump.

A transactional opening: Real estate and deal-making diplomacy

A typical strategy of both Pakistan and Donald Trump, where deal comes first and diplomacy is not essential. Pakistan has done many deals with Trump in real estate.

Courting Trump's inner circle, Pakistan has reached out with many promiscuous arrangements like crypto currency, through which every member of Trump’s family is connected with Asim Munir.

Aligning with US strategic interests is the primary aspect of Pakistan. They will not worry if the deal is harming Pakistan. As long as Asim Munir gets his cut, they’ll go ahead with US policies and deals.

Pakistan presented Trump’s 15 points to Iran, to mediate between US and Iran.  The arrangements were made by Steve Witkoff. Even after Iran has rejected the 15 points White house is perusing Pakistan to negotiate further with Iran.

Only the time can decide, as Iran is clearly prepared for war and they have no intention of ceasefire.
