Pakistan must realise the perpetrator cannot claim victimhood forever on terrorism

Pakistan portrays itself as a victim of terrorism, yet it continues to nurture terror hubs that are now turning against the state itself

Pakistan claims, it’s the victim of terrorism, it still nurtures terror hubs. Last year alone 1,139 were killed in 1,045 terror attacks. One of the factors that increased the terror in Pakistan is the rise of Taliban in Afghanistan in 2021. The increased attacks by the groups Tehrik-e-Taliban (TTP) and Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), made more bloodsheds in Pakistan. The TTP remains one of the most dangerous militant groups globally and the primary terror hub within Pakistan. It was responsible for 56 per cent of all terrorism-related deaths in Pakistan, carrying out 595 attacks and killing 637 people.

Since 2007, the TTP has been responsible for 67% of all attacks in the country and has conducted five times more attacks than the next largest group, the BLA. Its activity has extremely intensified after 2021.

The deadliest attack in Pakistan in 2025 happened on October 26, when gunmen targeted the military camp in Tirah Valley, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and killed 21 soldiers. The TTP took credit!

The Baluchistan provinces like Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was badly affected by terror attacks and rose to 595 attacks from 481 in 2024. Iran's Sharp and stern warning to Trump: "Not Eye for Eye, But Head for Eye!"

In another major incident, the BLA carried out an attack near Quetta by bombing railway tracks and halting a passenger train. The group took 442 passengers’ hostage; the incident resulted in the deaths of 21 hostages, four soldiers, and 33 terrorists. The Battle for Bengal: Murshidabad at a Breaking Point

Asim Munir cannot control any of this menace, the terror network grown over years, cannot be dismantled in a short while. The country is in a thorough fix as Iran, Baluch, and TTP are targeting Pakistan military establishment. The latest hit being Operation Sindhoor from India.

Hope Pakistan wakes up to the reality, perpetrator cannot be the victim.
