The first phase of the Census has officially begun in Karnataka from today. The census will be conducted in two phases. The first phase includes House Listing and Housing Census, while the second phase will cover the actual Population Enumeration.
In a first-of-its-kind initiative, the government has introduced the Self-Enumeration facility this year. People can now register themselves online from April 1 to April 15.
Any member of the family can log in and fill in the household details and family information.Shining Diva Fashion Necklace Jewellery Set for Women Latest Stylish Design Fancy Crystal (16787s)
After successful registration, a Self-Enumeration ID will be sent to the registered mobile number or email. The self-enumeration form contains around 33 questions and can be completed in just 15–20 minutes.
This digital facility is expected to make the census process faster and ensure more accurate data collection. After the self-enumeration period ends, enumerators will visit every house from April 16 to May 15 for the second phase. They will verify the online submissions and collect complete information from households that have not registered online. Details regarding housing facilities, assets, water supply, electricity, sanitation, and other basic amenities will be collected.
This census will provide crucial data for the country’s future development planning and welfare schemes. Officials have appealed to all citizens to actively participate in the self-enumeration process and cooperate with the enumerators.
