Union Minister for Steel and Heavy Industries H.D. Kumaraswamy has assured that efforts are underway to establish an ARI in Mandya district, describing it as a long-cherished dream.

Speaking to reporters at T.S. Chatra in Pandavapura taluk, Kumaraswamy said, All technical work from my ministry has been completed. Now, the district administration must inform how far the state government has progressed on this project.

Regarding the long-pending Pandavapura Bypass Road, he said he has discussed the issue with Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. There are some technical hurdles causing delay.
