General Asim Munir landed up in Tehran on Wednesday, April 15, with his senior delegation team that includes Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi. The visit’s primarily task is to start the bargain on Trump’s behalf.

Pakistan is acting as the bridge between Iran and US and has to start the conversation with Tehran on Iran’s nuclear enrichment levels, the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, and wartime compensation.

General Munir met the Minister Abbas Araghchi and an Iranian official have confirmed that while they are open to a deal, they view their right to uranium enrichment as a red line, though they may negotiate on the level of enrichment.

Iran is currently indulging in internal reviews following the Pakistan’s briefing before deciding on the exact terms for the next round. U.S. President Donald Trump on 14th, April, indicated that a second round of direct talks could happen as early as today or tomorrow (April 16 or 17). The White House has expressed a positive note and Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stating they "feel good about the prospects of a deal. While initial venue for the talks was Geneva, the White House has confirmed that the talks are "very likely" to return to Islamabad. Islamabad Accord, aftermath, Iranian delegates had to go back in train, car and bus to Iran.

The U.S. has intensified its naval blockade of Iranian ports to exert their leverage and to exert pressure on Iran ahead of the second round.

We will know the outcome in 24 hours of the second round, which again analysts are doubting any fruitful result.
