In a major breakdown on Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), Mexican Navy successfully captured one of its most powerful commanders, Audias Flores Silva (known as "El Jardinero" or "The Gardener"), on Monday, April 27.
The operation was more like the surgical strike executed in the state of Nayarit, marking a major milestone in Mexico's ongoing crackdown on organized crime.
The Mexican Navy deployed over 500 cops, supported by six helicopters and several scouting aircraft. As the military closed in, Silva’s bodyguards scattered in various directions as a diversionary tactic, but aerial surveillance tracked him to the ditch.

Audias Flores Silva was the successor to “El Mencho”, the longtime CJNG leader who was killed during a military operation in February 2026.
