Dog Bites, Stray Animal Menace: Rajasthan High Court Takes Suo Motu Cognizance

Recognizing the urgent need for action, the court ordered the registration of a Public Interest Litigation (PIL). Notices were issued to the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, NHAI, the state’s Urban Development and Housing Department, municipal corporations of Jaipur, Jodhpur, and Udaipur, the Directorate of Local Bodies, and the Transport Department. The case is listed for hearing on August 11, 2025.
