New Delhi: India has strongly responded to aggressive threats from Pakistan’s Army Chief General Asim Munir, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, warning that any misadventure, as seen in Operation Sindoor, will lead to severe consequences for Pakistan. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson, Randhir Jaiswal, condemned the belligerent and hateful statements from Pakistani leaders. General Asim Munir recently issued a nuclear threat against India during a speech to Pakistani expatriates in Tampa, Florida, stating, “We are a nuclear power. If you think we are collapsing, we will destroy India and half the world.”read also: Indian Air Force’s 26 Officers and Airmen Honored with Air Force Medal for Gallantry

He further threatened missile strikes on Indian dams if India restricted cross-border river flows. Similarly, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif warned that Pakistan would “teach India a lesson” if it curtailed Pakistan’s water supply. Defence Minister Khawaja Asif cautioned that any violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty would face a swift, decisive, and proportional response. These statements have further strained India-Pakistan relations. At a weekly press briefing on Thursday, Jaiswal stated, “We have noted the continuous aggressive, hateful, and warmongering statements from Pakistani leaders. Promoting anti-India sentiment to mask their failures is a familiar tactic.read also: Special Magistrate Court Acquits BJP MLA V Sunil Kumar in Pramod Muthalik Defamation Case

He warned, “Pakistan should restrain its rhetoric, as any misadventure will face consequences as severe as Operation Sindoor.” Regarding Pakistan’s nuclear threats, Jaiswal expressed concerns about the integrity of Pakistan’s nuclear command-and-control system, given its military’s close ties with terrorist groups, and clarified that India would not succumb to nuclear blackmail. In response to a terrorist attack on April 22, 2025, in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, by The Resistance Front (a proxy of Lashkar-e-Taiba), which killed 26 people, India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7, 2025. The operation saw the Indian Air Force, Army, and Navy jointly conduct precise strikes on terrorist infrastructure and military installations at 11 locations in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, eliminating over 100 terrorists, including key targets like Pakistan’s Nur Khan Airbase. On May 16, 2025, in Islamabad, Shehbaz Sharif admitted that General Asim Munir informed him via secure phone at 2:30 AM on May 9-10 that India had launched missile strikes on Nur Khan Airbase and other sites as part of Operation Sindoor, demonstrating India’s military resolve.read also: Operation Sindoor: A Milestone in India’s Self-Reliant Defense Capabilities..!

Pakistan’s threats escalated after India suspended the Indus Waters Treaty on June 27, 2025, citing cross-border terrorism. The Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague ordered India to release water from western rivers to Pakistan, but India rejected the ruling as illegal and baseless. Jaiswal clarified that India has never recognized the legitimacy, competence, or authority of this verdict. Operation Sindoor, conducted from May 7 to 10, 2025, was a four-day intensive military campaign that destroyed nine training camps of terrorist groups like Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Hizbul Mujahideen. The Indian Air Force, using the S-400 air defense system, shot down five Pakistani fighter jets and one large patrol aircraft, significantly weakening Pakistan’s air defense network, as confirmed by Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh.Symbol Premium Women's Baggy Wide Leg Jeans (High Waist | Ankle Length)
