NIA Files Chargesheet in Cyber Terrorism Case

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a chargesheet against Jasim Shahnawaz Ansari in a cyber terrorism case before the Special NIA Court in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The case pertains to Denial of Service (DoS) attacks on critical government infrastructure websites. Initially registered by the Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), the case was taken over by the NIA following directives from the Ministry of Home Affairs.

New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a chargesheet against Jasim Shahnawaz Ansari in a cyber terrorism case before the Special NIA Court in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The case pertains to Denial of Service (DoS) attacks on critical government infrastructure websites. The investigation revealed that Jasim, along with a juvenile, conducted Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks on websites of the Government of India and state governments from March to May 2025. The accused also posted anti-national content on a Telegram channel. Jasim utilized advanced hacking tools, VPNs, and encrypted platforms to execute the attacks. Digital forensic analysis confirmed that the accused orchestrated a planned, ideologically motivated cyber offensive and trained others in unlawful cyber techniques while concealing their identities to evade law enforcement.read also: Operation Sindoor: A Milestone in India’s Self-Reliant Defense Capabilities..!


The NIA filed the chargesheet under Section 66F of the Information Technology Act, 2000, and Section 61(2)(a) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.
