To visit Mount Kailash, one has to travel to Tibet, which is currently under Chinese administration, and the arrangements are monitored by China. The Yatra was suspended for the past 5 years due to the pandemic and China’s restrictions. Now, for the first time after 5 years, the Kailash Yatra will resume in July and August 2025.

Strict guidelines must be followed to participate in the Kailash Yatra. The Indian government makes necessary arrangements, and applications are also open through private travel operators. However, it is strongly advised to travel under government arrangements for better safety and security.

Routes Available:
