A skull handed over to the police by a witness was recovered from the Banglegudde forest near the Netravati bathing ghat in Dharmasthala. The SIT recently brought Vithala Gowda from Pangala village in Dharmasthala to the site and conducted a spot inspection (mahazar). After the inspection, a video of Vithala Gowda speaking went viral on social media. In the video, he stated, "During the mahazar at the site where the skull was found, remains of three bodies were observed in one part of the forest, and remains related to eight bodies were found in another area. According to information provided by SIT sources to Prajavani, there is a need to conduct a more intensive search in the forest area where the skull was recovered.
