However, it has been reported that the SIT has already investigated this complaint and issued a response.Two locals from Pangala, Purandara Gowda and Tukaram Gowda, had filed a writ petition in the High Court seeking identification of the body burial site in Dharmasthala and to conduct exhumation there. The petitioners claimed that they had witnessed the burial of Chinniyya's body. They also requested that exhumation be carried out at the site they pointed out. However, a new twist has emerged regarding the petitioners' allegations. It is stated that the SIT has already investigated this complaint and concluded it, providing a complete explanation to the complainants through a written response. However, upon examination of records and interrogation of officials, the SIT has clarified that this location is a government-approved cremation ground. Moreover, the site where the complainants claimed the body was buried is now Point Number 13 under SIT investigation, where examination is already underway.
