Bengaluru: Speaking at an event in Jayanagar, Opposition Leader R. Ashoka criticized the UPA government for running a corrupt administration driven by family politics. However, he praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for providing clean governance. He noted that Modi started as a volunteer, rose to become a Chief Minister, and later became Prime Minister. He accused the Congress of widespread corruption during Manmohan Singh’s tenure, while Modi has delivered transparent governance since becoming Prime Minister.Ashoka further stated that Congress is making allegations against Modi regarding EVMs. “They remain silent when they win but raise accusations when they lose. The court has ruled that a Congress MLA in Maluru won through irregularities. In Bihar, they are making such allegations out of fear of defeat,” he said. However, Modi remains focused on serving the nation without being distracted by these accusations.
