After their marriage, Dharmashilan worked as a mason in Dubai but returned to Bengaluru a month ago, where he continued working as a mason. Manju was employed as a nurse in Bengaluru. The couple lived in a rented house on Ullal Main Road along with Manju’s father. During the altercation, Dharmashilan stabbed his wife 7-8 times with a knife.After the stabbing, he hanged himself using a nylon rope tied to a fan in the hall. Manju’s father, Periyaswamy, who had visited relatives, returned in the evening. Despite knocking repeatedly, the door remained unanswered.
