Karnataka High Court Permits Government to Issue Notification for Organizing Kambala in Places Other Than Pilikula

The court was hearing a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), which sought a directive to prohibit the organization of Kambala, a traditional buffalo race, in districts or regions outside the coastal districts of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi, where it has been practiced for centuries.
