Bengaluru: In a swift response to the horrific murder case that took place yesterday in Bengaluru’s Shrirampura police jurisdiction, the police have successfully tracked down and arrested the accused. Vighnesh, also known as Sanjay, the prime suspect in the murder of 20-year-old B.Pharm student Yamini Priya, along with his accomplice Harish, has been apprehended in Soladevanahalli.Also Read: Bengaluru-Hubballi Superfast Train: Services to Begin from December 8…!!
North Division DCP B.S. Nemagouda stated, “The crime was committed solely by Vighnesh. Harish assisted by providing pick-up and drop-off services. The knife was purchased from a shop, as confirmed by the police. Previously, Yamini had filed a complaint against Vighnesh, after which the police had issued a warning and obtained a written undertaking from him. Despite this, Vighnesh persisted. The police are investigating whether the two were in a relationship and are examining a WhatsApp group created in connection to the case. In 2022, Vighnesh was also involved in a case of extorting money posing as a BBMP marshal. The accused, who fled after the murder, is now in police custody.
