The Karnataka High Court has upheld the permission granted by Governor Thaawar Chand Gehlot to investigate Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) site allotment case.

The primary allegation is that MUDA illegally allotted 14 sites to Siddaramaiah's wife, B.M. Parvathi, in violation of rules. Social activists had petitioned the Governor for sanction to probe the CM under the Prevention of Corruption Act. Approving the request, the Governor granted permission for the investigation.

Siddaramaiah challenged this in the High Court through a writ petition. However, the single-judge bench headed by Justice M.
